United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

The 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) are at the heart of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by all UN Member States in 2015. These global goals are ambitious in scope and cover many different topics including industry, climate change, educational inequality, health, and sustainable cities. The goals act as a global "to do" list and provide a way forward to peace and prosperity for people and the planet.

Use this guide to learn more about the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), find resources, and explore ways to take action.

Sheridan College was the first Ontario college to sign the SDG Accord, the college and university sector's collective response to the UN SDGs. Sheridan's Mission Zero leads on integrating the SDGs into our Sheridan community.
