Paper Format
Speak with your course instructor about assignment formatting expectations. The AMA Manual of Style, 11th edition does not provide guidelines on how to format student papers, so here's a general structure for Sheridan students.
The Basics
- 1 inch or 2.54 cm margins
- Double-spaced
- 9 - 12 point font for the body of the paper
- Titles and headlines use 14+ point font
- Readable font style, such as Times New Roman or Ariel
- Formatting Your Paper: AMA Style, 10th edition
Please note, AMA Style, 11th edition is the current manual.
Order of Paper
- Title Page - ask your professor on what details are required
- Abstract - include if required by your professor
- Body of Paper
- References
- Appendix - ask your professor if required
