Streaming Video Collections

Kanopy is a streaming video platform providing access to a hand-picked selection of educational videos. Kanopy also hosts our Nursing Video on Demand collection.

Find a Video

1. Search via search box at the top of the page.
2. Searching will return segments and full-length videos.

Copy a Direct Link

1. Navigate to the video you wish to use
2. Click the share button under the video
3. Then copy the URL from the Share tab

Embed a video

1. Navigate to the video you wish to use
2. Click the 'Share' button under the video
3. Select the embed tab
4. Copy the embed code provided

Note: if you wish to change the size of the embedded video, you can do this using the options under the embed code before copying the code.

Create a playlist

1. Navigate to the video you wish to use
2. Click the 'Create Clip/Playlist' button
3. You will need to create an account if you do not already have one
4. Then create playlist name by entering your playlist title in the textbook and click create, if you are adding to an existing playlist then you would select the playlist under 'existing playlist'
5. Your playlist can be found in your dashboard, which is accessed by selecting your name in the upper right, and then selecting 'my dashboard' from the menu. 
6. Your playlist can be shared/embedded using the share button.

Can I add a video to SLATE?

Yes. You can link to the video using the link provided (see instructions above).

Can I stream this for my students while in class?

Yes. Streaming in a classroom setting is permitted.

Browsers: Edge, Mozilla Firefox v.47, Chrome v.75, Safari v.75

Kanopy may still function with systems and browsers that are not listed, but it is recommended that you update to experience best functionally.
