Study Strategy Tips

Creating good study practices requires good organizational skills. Adding planning and routine into your study sessions can help you improve your ability to retain information.

It's also important to remember that regularly reviewing your notes and course content is essential to learn new information and to recall that material during tests.

Consider the following tips:

  • Study in short chunks: Break every hour into 45 minutes for studying and 15 minutes for break time. Set a timer to keep you on track!
  • Add studying into your weekly schedule: Create a schedule with regular study sessions blocked off each week. Check out the Time Management module to learn more!
  • Make a study "to do" list: What do you want to cover? What do you have to cover? Setting study goals will help keep you focused.
