HUMN18448G: Folk & Fairytale

Original Works

In literary studies, primary sources are the original creative works that are being studied. They usually come in the form of books (including poetry collections, play scripts, etc) or films. Whether you're looking for the original Hans Christian Andersen collection of fairytales, or one of the many film adaptations of Little Red Riding Hood, the library is the best place to start your search. Either search the whole library, or choose a specific database listed below.

Search Tips

  • Search by title or author name.
  • When searching the library, use the filters to narrow your search to either Books/Ebooks or Streaming Videos.
  • Use the Advanced Search to search within specific fields (example: author or title fields).
  • Many traditional fairy tales are compiled into collections. If you can't find the title of a specific fairy tale, search more broadly (example: "fairy tales").
