To start using the wealth of resources and services offered by the library, all you need is:
- Your Sheridan ONEcard - Use when 'checking out' (ie. issuing, borrowing) books and visiting your campus library.
- Your Sheridan Credentials - Use for logging in to computers, and signing in to the library's online resources.

All Sheridan campus libraries operate with the same regular hours.

Each campus Library and Learning Commons includes an IT help desk, Tutoring space, and Citation Specialists. At the beginning of term, you might even find a Registrar's Rep for Add, Drop, Swap.
We collect academic material related to all programs and courses offered at Sheridan. Along with the traditional library materials in print (books, journals, etc), we increasingly collect online material so that you can easily access our content at any time from anywhere!
Databases & Streaming Media
We have over 200 databases on a wide range of subjects and disciplines. Use the A-Z Database List to access databases and streaming media sites, which includes content from journal articles, newspapers, images, videos, tutorials, and more.
Ebooks
We currently have more ebooks than books on the shelves! We get ebooks from more than one company. Some can be downloaded, but most are available without downloading. All you need is your Sheridan Credentials to access them! Find ebooks through Summon.
Textbooks & Course Reserves
**The titles of the textbooks and course readings for your courses can be found in the course outline for each of your courses.**
Textbooks are available for 3hr loan periods at each campus library. Our textbooks are intended to be used for quick reference only. We recommend that students purchase their own copies. Search for your textbook titles in Summon.
Course reserves are typically non-textbook items that a professor has recommended for reading. Loan periods are generally 2hr loans, but may vary. Course reserves are kept behind the service desk at each campus library. Ask staff at the library service desk.
ESL Resources
We have many resources available for all levels of ESL students to improve reading, writing, listening and speaking skills. See our English Language Learning Guide for more details.
Games & Equipment
You can now borrow board games, video games and PlayStation game consoles from the library! Board games are available at Davis campus library. Video games and PlayStation consoles are available at Trafalgar campus library. Visit us in person to check them out, and see the Borrowing Policy below for more details.

The Tutoring Centre offers tutoring through drop-in, appointments, and scheduled group tutoring. Book up to 1.5 hours per week, per subject at no additional charge.
Subjects covered by tutoring include:
- English (writing and assignment tips)
- Math
- Business Math
- Programming
Online English tutoring is available evenings and weekends, where you can email your writing/assignments.

Peer tutoring is available for a small fee. Peer tutors offer course-specific tutoring in subjects other than those supported by our Tutoring Centre.

Each faculty has a dedicated liaison librarian who can help with specialized research in your program. See our Staff Directory for the Liaison Librarian for your Faculty.
Put an item on hold if it is already checked out, or when the item is located at another Sheridan campus library. Place a hold in person at the circulation desk, over the phone, or online using the library catalogue.
You can renew your library items in person or online if there are no holds placed on them. Renewals must be made on or before the item's due date.
