Research articles are useful for:

1. Researching the limitations or potential of a specific
technology or even a specific product within a real world context
.

For example:

  • What is the effectiveness of location-aware sign-on
    using attribute-based encryption and Bluetooth beacons?
  • What is the optimal placement for Bluetooth beacons for indoor localization?
  • What localization methods can be used for mobile beacons?

2. Researching a methodology or approach to a task.

For example:
