Follow the order of information, punctuation, and capitalization in the examples below. See section 6.4 of the Canadian Guide to Uniform Legal Citation (10th ed.).

CED Edition Number, Subject in Italics, "Detailed Subject Heading and Subheading" at § Section Number (Updated Month and Year).

NOTE: Use the abbreviated "CED" instead of the long-form "Canadian Encyclopedic Digest" (see section 6.4.1); Use the symbol (§) to indicate a section number (see section 6.4.1).

Example

CED 4th, Family Law - Property, "Overview of Legislation and Bringing the Application" at § 3 (June 2022).

Your professor may have different citing expectations than library staff. Always check at the beginning of term and before starting assignments that the citing rules you are using are appropriate for your class.
