Guidelines

The Ask a Librarian service operates under the following guidelines:

  • Ask a Librarian is intended to assist Sheridan students and faculty with questions that are related to library services and resources.
  • Visitors are served on a first come, first served basis.  During peak periods, visitors may be asked to wait for a few minutes or to contact library staff by alternative means.
  • Library staff will treat all visitors with respect and will expect the same level of respect from visitors.  See the Sheridan Code of Conduct.  Library staff reserve the right to end a chat session at their discretion.
  • Visitors should refrain from disclosing any personal or private information during the chat session.
  • If follow up is needed, you may choose to provide your Sheridan email address only. Library staff will follow up by email to your Sheridan email account.
