MATH 70012 Tutoring for Business Math: Tutoring

• Free Business Math tutoring available at HMC and Davis campuses in the Tutoring Centre or virtually.

• Students can book up to 2 hours of tutoring per week.  For example, students may

  • book two 1-hour sessions, or

  • book four 30 minute sessions

• Is 30 minutes too much? Try our business math walk-in hours

  • Ideal for single questions or short exercises

  • Walk-in hours vary by campus, daytime and some early evening walk-in hours available

  • Check the Tutoring Portal for walk-in hours

  • No appointment required

• No charge for tutoring

CAPS students work with "staff tutors."  These are senior students from the University of Waterloo or Toronto Metropolitan University who are completing co-op work placements at Sheridan.  Recent math tutors have studied Statistics, Accounting and Financial Management and Mathematical Finance. Staff tutoring is free and offers ½ hour or 1 hour appointments as well as shorter drop-in sessions. 

• Create a profile using your Sheridan network credentials OR
• Use your Sheridan email to create your profile i.e., Jon.Talley@sheridancollege.ca
• Do not use your SLATE email i.e., Jon.Talley@sheridan.desire2learn.com 
• You will need your student number too.

• Tutoring calendar colour legend:  
  • ​PURPLE= Group sessions
  • GREEN= 1 on 1 appointments
  • RED = Drop in appointments
  • GREY = Already booked or unavailable

• iCal and text message options available to help you remember your appointment
• Appointments can be canceled online on TutorOcean up to 3 hours in advance. Consider rescheduling your appointment.
• For cancelations of less than 3 hours, please phone or email the Tutoring Centre
