Guide for Adult Learners

Learning & studying strategies for mature students

Being an Adult Learner

Returning to education can be a substantial change. Adult learners may have more personal commitments than some of the other students around them, and it may have been a long time since they last studied. So even though they are excited at the prospect of returning to education, they may be starting to feel anxious. They will have a different, possibly wider, perspective to draw on and can find available supports if they need it.
