Sheridan Library Services provides space, materials, and assistance for students, faculty and staff to pursue their studies in a positive and productive environment. We ask all users to acknowledge and support this basic purpose of the environment by behaving in ways that consider the needs of others and respect the physical environment (furniture, equipment etc.). All members of the Sheridan community are expected to adhere to the Student Code of Conduct at all times.
The consumption of snack food and covered beverages is allowed in both the Library and main room of the Learning Commons.
In group study rooms, only covered beverages are permitted. No food is allowed in the study rooms.
Please consume hot meals in the seating area located just outside of the Library or other designated areas across campus such as the food courts.
Use of e-cigarettes is prohibited on Sheridan Property.
Please dispose of trash and clean up your work area before you leave.
Each Library Learning Commons offers 3 different zones, with 3 different noise expectations: Collaborative Zone, Quiet Zone, and Silent Zone.

For those requiring quiet study space, please locate the quiet study rooms available at Davis (3rd floor of the Commons), Trafalgar and HMC.
Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Security will be contacted if children are left unsupervised.
Users should refrain from leaving their belongings unattended. Library and Learning Commons staff are not responsible for the loss of personal property.
Found items should be returned to Sheridan Security.
Solicitation is not permitted in the Library & Learning Commons.
Users must obtain staff permission to post notices or film in the Commons.
Users should show respect for Learning Commons materials and facilities. Any vandalism or damage to Commons property will be reported to Security.
Users disrupted by behaviour or noise should report incidents to Library and Learning Commons staff.
Library Services staff have the right and responsibility to halt what they consider to be disruptive behaviour. If users do not comply, Security will be contacted and a report will be filed with the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities for further action.
Library spaces are for the exclusive use of the Sheridan community. Users must carry their OneCards at all times. Staff or Security may request to see OneCards at any time.
