There are excellent information sources made freely available via the World Wide Web. However, not all web content is appropriate for academic assignments. Be sure you are familiar with best practices for Evaluating Websites. Be sure to check with your professor about what the expectations are for your assignments.

- First Nation Profiles Interactive Map
From Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada. Provides data about reserves, bands, governance, and links to Statistics Canada data for specific communities. - iPortal: Indigenous Studies Portal (USask)
A database of nearly 50,000 items (articles, websites, photographs, etc) related to indigenous studies. Compiled by the University of Saskatchewan. Most resources are open access. - Four Directions Teachings
An audio narrated resource for learning about Indigenous knowledge and philosophy from five diverse First Nations in Canada. - Library & Archives Canada: Aboriginal Heritage
Includes photographic collections, Residential school information, virtual exhibits, genealogy resources, and more.
