Technology in the Library

Sheridan Library Services provides space, materials, and assistance for students, faculty and staff to pursue their studies in a positive and productive environment. We ask all users to acknowledge and support this basic purpose of the environment by behaving in ways that are appropriate to it: respect for the physical environment (furniture, equipment etc.), and consideration for the needs of others. All members of the Sheridan community are expected to adhere to the Student Code of Conduct at all times.

Each Library Learning Commons is equipped with multiple printers. Printers are capable of printing, scanning-to-email and photocopying.

  • Send your documents to the SPrint queue.
  • Your Sheridan OneCard, or username & password, is required
  • Printers are equipped with USB ports
  • No colour printing available
  • Students are charged per page. All students are given $5 on their OneCard at the start of their program.
  • Top-ups to your OneCard can be made at the IT Service Desk, or online.

Each Library Learning Commons is equipped with multiple computer stations for academic use.

  • Your Sheridan username and password is required for logging in to the computers.
  • Computers are offered on a first come, first served basis.
  • Plug-ins for laptops are available throughout each Library Learning Commons.
  • Computer stations are intended for students completing academic work. Please refrain from playing computer games and watching personal interest feature films.
  • The Library is not responsible for any stolen or damaged devices.

Charging stations are located near the service desks at HMC (A-wing) and Davis (J-wing).

  • Multiple charging cords are available, including USB-C, mini USB, and Apple lightning.

IT Support

For issues with printers, accounts, and other college technology, an IT Service Desk is available in each Library Learning Commons.

Library spaces are for the exclusive use of the Sheridan community. Users must carry their OneCards at all times. Staff or Security may request to see OneCards at any time.
