A guide for CAPS students. Sheridan Library supports: Tutoring help

• Free tutoring is available at Trafalgar, HMC and Davis campuses in the Tutoring Centres

• Students can book up to 2 hours of tutoring per week.  For example, students may

  • book two 1-hour sessions, or

  • book four 30 minute sessions

• Is 30 minutes too much? Try our walk-in hours (selected subjects)

  • Ideal for single questions or short exercises

  • Walk-in hours vary by campus, daytime and some early evening walk-in hours available

CAPS students work with "staff tutors."  These are senior students from the University of Waterloo who are completing co-op work placements at Sheridan.  Recent math tutors have studied in areas of Statistics, Accounting and Financial Management and Mathematical Finance.    Staff tutoring is free and offers 1 hour and ½ hour appointments as well as shorter drop-in sessions. • Appointments can be canceled online up to 12 hours in advance
• Phone or email the Tutoring Centre for cancelations of less than 12 hours
