How to use this guide

This guide includes pages or tabs to assist in your company research. 

  • The Company Profiles & Reports tab includes tips for finding a history of a company, financial data, executives, SWOT analysis, location information, forecasts and more. 

  • The Company News tab includes tips for finding newspaper, magazine and journal articles. 

  • The Market Share tab lists databases that commonly include market share information. You may find market share information in easy to read tables or within news reports and articles. Try searching the company or product name with the term "market share" or "brand share" or "market size", etc. 

  • The Macro-environmental tab may be used to augment your SWOT analysis. 

  • Use the Industry Topics tab revisit information on your assigned industry.

  • Use the Which Database tab to see a chart of which database to try to find specific types of business information.

  • The last tab provides information & examples for APA Citation, and links to other APA resources. 

 

Don’t forget to use company annual reports!

  1. Type the company name in the search box, and select the correct corporate name from the suggested list.
  2. Click on 'Go'.

3. Click on Reports.
4. Click on the blue link for the most recent annual report.
