  • Reading about careers provides a general understanding of the tasks, responsibilities, qualifications and work environment and will help you determine if a career area will fit your skills, interests, values and personality. 
  • There are many resources to choose from, here are a few:
    • NOC - the National Occupation Classifications codes is Canada’s career directory (see picture below)

    • Career Cruising - contains detailed career profiles of 600+ occupations helping you understand what it is like to work in various careers. You can also learn about career paths, related careers, and salary information.
