Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365) is a subscription-based, cloud-powered productivity platform designed to help you finish assignments and complete common tasks on a computer.

In this section, we'll share resources and training pathways so you can learn the basics of key apps including Outlook, OneDrive, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote.

Sheridan's Microsoft ProPlus plan allows current, full-time students to access cloud and desktop versions of key productivity apps and services for free! Microsoft ProPlus apps include:

  • Access*, to create databases.
  • Excel, to analyze and visualize data.
  • Forms, to create online surveys, quizzes, and more.
  • OneDrive, to store photos, videos, and files.
  • OneNote, to take notes.
  • Outlook, to manage school e-mails, calendars, and tasks.
  • PowerPoint, to create presentation slide decks.
  • Publisher*, to create document layouts.
  • Sharepoint Online, to make collaborative spaces for group projects.
  • Sway, to create interactive reports, presentations and more.
  • Word, to write reports, papers, and other assignments.

*Access and Publisher are available for the Windows OS only but Mac users can access these apps by connecting to their Sheridan Virtual Desktop.
