Using Google Scholar

Google Scholar searches academic publishers, professional societies, online repositories, universities, and other web sites to find academic literature worthy of citing.  The problem is, much of this academic content requires payment.  ENTER: Your friendly college library.  Now you can search Google Scholar and access not only the freely available stuff, but also library-paid content - all in one search. 

Configure Google Scholar to identify Sheridan Library content

  1. Go to scholar.google.com
  2. Click on Settings (top right-hand corner)
  3. Click on Library Links (left side menu)
  4. Search for Sheridan
  5. Check the box beside Sheridan College Institute of Technology and Advanced Training

Off-Campus Access

When working from home, be sure to access Google Scholar from our Database A-Z list.  Doing so will ensure you have full access to all of the Google Scholar integrations with library resources.
