Introduction and Types

In real life scenarios, contextualizing numbers can be the association to some unit of measurement. Whether it be 20m, 6 apples or 7mg, the application of math to real life examples will require you to understand, interpret, and utilize the numbers based on the context.

There are various unit types that measure different amounts. Examples of such amounts include length, volume, and mass. The units in each type can:

  1. Be converted using different factors to account for lesser or greater amounts.
  2. Derive new units that measure new amounts.
