Group Study Rooms

The Library Learning Commons at each campus provides numerous group study rooms for private group collaboration. Each group study room is equipped with large screen monitors, laptop plugins, and tables and chairs.

Group Study Rooms are closed until further notice. Please use Zoom (or similar virtual platform) to meet with your group members.

Booking Guidelines

  • Study rooms must be booked by currently registered Sheridan students who will be present in the room.
  • Each booking must be occupied by 2-6 persons at a time. No individual study.
  • Rooms may be booked for a maximum of 2 hours per day per group. Only 1 booking per day per group.

NOTE: Groups that are more than 10min. late to claim a room will lose their booking and the room may be used by others.


If there is no booking, or a group is more than ten minutes late to claim a room, the room can be used by others.

Bookings can be viewed through the online booking system.

Food is not permitted in the group study rooms. Only covered beverages are allowed.

Students disrupted by inappropriate behaviour or noise from other library users should report incidents to either:

For issues with booking a group study room, please see the IT Service Desk available in each Library Learning Commons.

Learning Commons staff will cancel any bookings that violate any conditions of the Group Study Room Policy or the Sheridan Student Code of Conduct. In addition, Security may remove any students who violate the Group Study Room Policy.
