OER Respositories
There are many OER repositories developed by non-profit educational organizations in collaboration with universities and colleges. Some of the well-established repositories are listed below. The Mason OER Metafinder searches across 23 repositories; there is an advanced search option to filter a search by source, date, author, etc.
Mason OER Metafinder (MOM)- MERLOTThe Multimedia Educational Resource for Learning and Online Teaching (MERLOT) provides instructional materials such as assessments, open textbooks, presentations, online courses, simulations, etc. Content is contributed by professors and teachers and reviewed for relevance.
- Lumen LearningCourse materials in business, communication, humanities, natural sciences, social sciences, technology, etc.
- MIT OpenCourseWareAll MIT course materials that are free to use, share and be adapted under a Creative Commons BY-NC-SA 4.0 licence.
- National Science Digital LibraryOnline educational resources for teaching and learning in the sciences, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) disciplines.
- OASISDeveloped by State University of New York (SUNY), OASIS is a search tool for finding open textbooks and other OER. It is a large repository with resources from 117 organizations and institutions.
- OER CommonsAggregates open educational resources from a number of partnership organizations and institutions. Includes textbooks, lecture notes, lesson plans, case studies, full courses, etc.
- Skills CommonsIndustry-based training resources including assessment tools, courses, presentations, drills and practices, etc. Industries covered include trades and apprenticeship, manufacturing, health care, IT, hospitality, and public administration.
- Utah State University's OpenCourseWareCourse materials that are used in the teaching of undergraduate and graduate subjects at Utah State University.
