Books are available in hardcopy as well as digital format. We subscribe to ebooks through a number of online sites, called databases. Whether you're looking for fiction, non-fiction, or scholarly titles, search the library or try a specific database below to narrow your search.
When searching for books by Indigenous authors in the library collection, specific names of authors or titles of books can be helpful. To identify popular Indigenous authors, browse magazines, book reviews, lists by book sellers, or literary awards. For example:
Once you've got a name or title, then you can start searching:
Go to Advanced Search, enter the author's name, and select 'Author' from the dropdown menu next to the search box.
Search the Library for the name of the author or artist, using quotation marks (example: "Richard Wagamese").
