The ability to bounce back when things go wrong (Ackerman, 2019).
“‘Bouncing back’ is what we do when we face disappointment, defeat, and failure, but instead of wallowing or letting things keep us down, we get back up and continue on with our lives” (Ackerman, 2019)
There are many definitions of resilience but all of them seem to have in common the idea of having a positive response to failure or adversity (Perkins-Gough, 2013).
