About Films on Demand

Films on Demand provides over 14,000 documentary and educational videos from a wide variety of producers, such as BBC, National Geographic, Cengage Learning, PBS, TED, and Scientific American Frontiers.

How do I?

Copy direct link

  1. Go to the Database A-Z list and locate Films on Demand
  2. Open a specific segment of a title
  3. Click on title or segment you would like to link to
  4. Select share button under the video
  5. Select the Embed/Link tab
  6. Copy the link provided by clicking the copy button
  7. Paste the link where you wish to share

 

Copy embed code

  1. Go to the Database A-Z list and locate Films on Demand
  2. Open a specific segment of a title
  3. Click on title or segment you would like to link to
  4. Select Share button under the video
  5. Select the Embed/Link tab
  6. Click copy buttoned next to the embed code after selecting the size
  7. Past the embed code where you wish to embed the video

FAQ for Instructors

Can I add a video to SLATE?

Yes. Please follow the directions above.

Can I stream this for my students while in class?

Yes. Streaming in a classroom setting is permitted. However, streaming may be a bit slow in classrooms. Please be prepared with a backup plan in case you encounter difficulties.
